We pretty much live the majority of our work days in Microsoft Outlook. Does that sound familiar? Apart from your enterprise software system, chances are that Outlook is the single most used software application in your organization. It’s likely that not everyone in your company lives in SAP Business One. What’s interesting about Outlook is that it doesn’t really matter if you’re the CEO, a sales person, a purchaser or in operations, it’s likely that you have it open for a major portion of your day. It’s typically your go-to information hub for e-mails, contacts and tasks. So why fight that? Just like Microsoft Excel is a comfortable environment for playing with numbers, Outlook is a comfortable place to use space for keeping in touch with your contacts and maintaining all their critical information. If Business One is your ‘single source of truth’ for customer related data, doesn’t it make sense to make that available inside Outlook?
Boyum’s CRM for Outlook makes it possible to view business partner information simply by focusing on an e-mail from an outside contact. The business partner information, as well as individual contact file, is immediately available in the Outlook ribbon bar. In addition, your sales team can work with sales opportunities and activities right from within Outlook.
You can also leverage queries and reports that are written in Business One and published using the Boyum B1UP universal function tool. This means that any query which can be turned into a KPI is possible to publish right from within Microsoft Outlook, like the Top 5 Items Sold example shown below. This has huge implications for the executive members of your team that would find it VERY convenient to simply access these reports from the program that they already spend the most time in.
This video demonstrates the enhanced capabilities of the new Outlook CRM add-on for SAP Business One. This solution integrates seamlessly, enabling users to view and edit data from Business One directly from Microsoft Outlook.
